Some information about prototype and model:
The open freight wagons of the Eaos type are among the most important freight wagon types in Europe. They are used to transport goods that are not sensitive to moisture, such as wood, stones, scrap or steel. The wagons were developed on the basis of a UIC standardisation in the early 1970s. The first series was the Eaos 106, and over time the wagons were fitted with a steel floor and in this context they were redesignated Eaos-x 051. Further newbuildings were given the designation Eaos-x 051. Later on, further substructures were added by conversions, so the Eaos 106 remaining until 2003 were rebuilt and listed as Eaos-x 075. Some of the cars have a ground-operated handbrake. Tension belts can be attached to the cars to secure the load. All wagons have side doors.

The attractive models are characterised by precise shaping and authentic painting and printing. They appear in the usual detailed and filigree design of the PIKO Expert range. The Eaos have sharply engraved bogies and extra attached handlebars. Retrofitting with PIKO close couplers (item no. 56046) is possible without any problems. All wagons can be retrofitted with exchangeable axles for AC operation.
The PIKO Expert wagons with different road numbers and replicas of a wooden floor convince with correct lettering, proportions that are true to the prototype and many extra details such as shunting steps and handles. The sharp engravings and applied brake shoes make the replica of the Y25 bogies a feast for the eyes. The wagon floor has been designed with great attention to detail with boilers and the fine brake rods.
