Sonneberg, March 2026 – As the days grow longer and the first rays of sunshine cast a new light over the garden, the most wonderful time of the year begins for many model railway enthusiasts: the garden railway season. On Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 09:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., PIKO invites visitors to the big spring kick-off event at the PIKO Flagship Store in Sonneberg – featuring technical innovations, exclusive model premieres, and attractive special offers.

The focus is on the world of garden railways. Visitors can explore the complete G scale range – from impressive locomotives and highly detailed rolling stock to tracks and buildings for layouts in the garden. The new control solutions for even more driving enjoyment outdoors will also be presented to the public for the first time: the digital PIKO G-SmartControl_wlan system and the flexible PIKO G-SmartAnalogController_wlan with practical “to Go” function.

Just in time for spring, the limited-edition PIKO Easter Car (#38996) provides a special highlight – perfect for transporting small surprises across your home layout in style.

Anyone looking to realize the dream of their own garden railway or expand an existing layout can look forward to attractive price advantages at the start of the season:

But it’s not only garden railway enthusiasts who will get their money’s worth: PIKO will present selected new tooling models in H0 and TT in Sonneberg for the first time.
