PIKO America at The Big Train Show – June 4-5, 2010
PIKO America exhibited at its first show ever, The Big Train Show, held on June 4th and 5th, 2010 at the Ontario (California) Convention Center. With a corner booth located right on the main aisle in the middle of the hall, people attending the show could not miss the colorful display of PIKO G-Scale buildings, trains, track and starter sets. Since this annual show also now includes other scales of model trains, the PIKO H0 ICE3 starter set was also of interest to many people at the show.
Newcomers to the hobby, including many families with young children, were enthusiastic about the PIKO G-Scale starter sets, especially noting how smoothly and quietly the operating set circled all day long. Experienced hobbyists were highly impressed with the attention to detail on recent PIKO products, such as the BR 260 diesel locomotive and the 3-axle Umbau passenger cars. PIKO G-Track items were placed where people could get their hands on the products. Everyone with an interest in garden railroading was pleased with the smooth-operating R5 switches and the completely waterproof switch machines.
People were quite glad to learn that PIKO products are affordably priced and reliably available. PIKO America’s Product and Sales Manager, Jonathan Meador, enjoyed meeting with old hobby friends and making new ones, while explaining the advantages of PIKO products.
